TRV is a travel authorization document issued by a Canadian Immigration Visa Officer outside of Canada indicating that the holder has met the requirements to travel to Canada.
A TRV may generally allow the holder to stay in Canada for a maximum of six months from the date of arrival.
Category of TRVs
Single-Entry Visa
entitles you to visit Canada only once during the validity period.
Multiple-Entry Visa
can be issued for a maximum of ten years or one month before your passport's expiry date, whichever comes first. You can re-enter Canada as many times as you want during the validity period of the multiple-entry visa.
Transit Visa
Transit Visa allows foreign nationals to travel to and remain in Canada for only 48 hours. If you're flying to or from the United States, you may be able to transit through Canada without a Canadian visa.
You do not need to apply for the Transit Without Visa (TWOV) Program as a traveller.
