Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)

The Federal Skilled Worker program is one of the three key federal immigration programs under the Economic Class managed through the Express Entry system. Applicants who apply for permanent residence in the FSW category are assessed according to a “selection grid” of several eligibility criteria.

To be eligible, you must have at least 67 points under the following selection factors before you can enter the Express Entry pool.

You will then wait in the pool until you receive Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent.
Residency based on your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores.

Eligibility to Apply as FSW

To be eligible for the FSW program, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

National Occupation Classification (NOC) is used to classify jobs (occupations) or understand types of employment. Jobs are grouped into Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities (TEER) categories.
